Adam Hollis

Social Worker | AASW Member | ASORC Member

Adam works with men navigating challenges involving work, relationships, injury, family responsibilities and major changes in life.

His background combines social work and occupational rehabilitation, with experience in workplace injury management, vocational counselling, career planning, conflict resolution and adjustment to changing circumstances.

Adam brings a calm, practical and collaborative approach to counselling. He works with clients to understand what’s happening, clarify what matters and consider realistic next steps.

Practical, Collaborative Counselling

Counselling provides an opportunity to step away from everyday pressures, talk openly about what’s happening and consider things from a different perspective.

Some people come with a specific problem or decision they want to work through. Others are dealing with several pressures at once and aren’t sure where to start.

Adam’s approach is practical, collaborative and solution-focused. Sessions are guided by your circumstances, priorities and what you would like to get out of counselling.

The focus is on understanding your situation, recognising what is within your control and exploring options that are realistic for you.

What Can Men's Counselling Help With?

Workplace pressure, conflict with colleagues or management, job insecurity, career uncertainty or feeling dissatisfied with your working life can affect your confidence and wellbeing.

Counselling offers space to work through workplace challenges, consider your options and make informed decisions about your employment and future direction.

Relationship difficulties, communication problems, separation, parenting responsibilities and family conflict can be difficult to navigate, particularly when other pressures are competing for your attention.

Counselling can help you explore relationship patterns, understand different perspectives and consider how you want to approach difficult conversations, decisions and responsibilities.

An injury, illness or change in physical capacity can affect much more than your health. Work, independence, relationships, finances and future plans may all be impacted.

Drawing on his experience in social work and occupational rehabilitation, Adam supports men adjusting to changed circumstances, managing uncertainty and considering their options for work, daily life and the future.

Sometimes there isn’t one obvious problem. You might feel overwhelmed, frustrated, uncertain about your direction or simply dissatisfied with how things are going.

Whether you’re navigating a major transition or trying to make sense of several challenges, counselling provides an opportunity to reflect on what’s happening and explore what might need to change.
